Have you noticed that your organic reach has been declining on Facebook? Well, it’s no accident!

Facebook recently announced that brand posts deemed “overly promotional” by its algorithm will be reduced. Meaning you can expect your organic reach to continue to drop.

15Facebook has three criteria that make a post “overly promotional”:

  1. Posts that solely push people to buy a product or install an app
  2. Posts that push people to enter promotions and sweepstakes with no real context
  3. Posts that reuse the exact same content from ads

This new algorithm makes Facebook officially a pay-to-play platform for brands now.  Since Brands are the company’s biggest source of income, Facebook wants to confine brands to spend more money to advertise.

One way that we help clients to overcome this problem is by diversifying across multiple social media platforms and connecting to other marketing campaigns. We help businesses harness the power of Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest as well as Facebook for the most effective strategy.

Medical practices and small businesses recognize the value of developing and maintaining an active social media presence. However, it is not as simple as posting every other day or sending a few tweets a month. It is essential to have a solid game plan.

Effective use of social media combines excellent customer service, expertise and quality, and engaging content.  In addition, social-media presence must also reflect a company’s advertising, marketing and public relations efforts. Plus, when you allow us to handle social media, you free up your time to do what you love to do – run your business!
