Meet Carol
Carol is our founder, Creative Director and ruthless brand defender. She is a Hampton Roads native and a graduate of Mary Washington College (BS – Art & Biology) and UNC-Greensboro (MFA). Carol spent many years teaching at the college level and as a professional photographer before opening Virginia Creative Group. She loves all things art and design. She is a mother of two tiny humans and two adorable dogs.
Meet Bridget
Bridget joined Virginia Creative Group in 2020 and is our COO. She is a “Double Hoo,” graduating from the University of Virginia in 2018 with a B.A. in Media Studies and Spanish and an M.A. in Media, Culture, and Technology in 2021. Bridget currently resides in Charlottesville with her husband and two cats. When she’s not working, she can be found cooking yummy food, painting, going to concerts with her husband, and spending time with family and friends.
Meet Kristen
Kristen became a part of Virginia Creative Group in 2018 and currently serves as the Digital Marketing Team Lead. With a keen creative eye, she designs websites drawing inspiration from her diverse creative experiences. Kristen holds a B.F.A. in Art Studies from Longwood University. She resides in Virginia, with her husband and children and many pets. Outside of work, Kristen enjoys being a mom, spending time with her pets, reading, and sipping on iced lattes while unwinding at the Outer Banks. A passionate creative, Kristen thrives on continuously exploring the evolving and dynamic world of art.
Meet Lauren
Lauren joined Virginia Creative Group in 2021 and is our Social Media Marketing Team Lead. Lauren graduated from Riverside School of Surgical Technology in 1998. In 2013 she started a nonprofit called gotCUREage after receiving a blood cancer diagnosis in 2009. Lauren is married to Randy Blanchard and between them, they have 6, almost grown, children. They both enjoy hanging out at home, boating and sailing in the British Virgin Islands. She loves tapping into her medical background to write content for medical practices!
Meet Anna-Marie
Anna-Marie joined VCG in 2022 and our Content Marketing Team Lead. She graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a degree in English and creative writing and got her start in marketing in book publishing. She lives in Midlothian, Virginia with her husband and rescue dog, Otter. She is a self-proclaimed foodie and enjoys exploring local vineyards and breweries, reading books of all genres and hiking with her dog.
Meet Gabrielle
Gabrielle joined the Virginia Creative Group in 2023 and serves as a copywriter on our Content Marketing Team. She graduated from James Madison University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Media Arts & Design with a focus in journalism and a minor in Sports Communications. She spent 8 years in the television news industry as an Executive Producer where she captivated audiences in the Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and the Hampton Roads market with her storytelling.
Gabrielle grew up in Yorktown and after many years away she has returned home with her husband Chris, their 8-month-old son Rowan, their golden retriever Franklin and cat Bella. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family at Lake Gaston floating on the water or hopping on a wake surf!
Meet Casie
Casie joined us in 2020 and is our Social Media Marketing Team Co-Lead at Virginia Creative Group. She is from Yorktown, Virginia and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1998 with a business degree. She and her husband, Dan, have three daughters and a sweet miniature dachshund named Murphy Sue. Her girls’ participation in soccer, field hockey, ballet and school club commitments keep her incredibly busy. Still, she enjoys sewing, interior design and volunteer work when she can find the time.
Meet Alexis
Alexis joined VCG in 2022 and assists Anna-Marie as the Content Marketing Team Co-Lead. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in English and creative writing from Randolph College, she earned her MFA in creative writing from Hollins University. She lives in Midlothian, Virginia with her cat, Bea. She spends her free time writing fantasy novels. When not writing, you can find her reading, baking, drinking tea, traveling, and searching coffee shops for the perfect matcha latte.
Meet Laurie
Laurie joined Virginia Creative Group in 2021 and is our Digital Marketing Team Co-Lead. She graduated from Longwood University, and lives in Virginia Beach with her husband, children and yellow lab. In her spare time you can find her on the beach with her family and dog, and enjoying everything the area has to offer!
Meet Robin
Robin joined us in 2017 and is a part of our Content Marketing Team at Virginia Creative Group. She was born and raised in Northern Virginia and later attended Mary Washington College, graduating with a BA in English. After retiring from a career in public service, she spent a few years as a full-time wife and mother before joining the VCG team. A lover of all things flamingo, she can be found with a cup of coffee in her hand, a book in her bag and a German Shepherd Dog at her side.
Meet Kirk
Kirk joined Virginia Creative Group in 2012 on our Brand Marketing Team and is our “eagle eye” copy master. He is a proud Bluffton, South Carolina native. He graduated from Clemson University and came to Virginia Creative Group with a wealth of experience and knowledge. Kirk is a green tea and sushi lover, fanatically terrible golfer, kayak fisherman, watercolor wannabe, devoted husband, proud father and grandfather!
Meet Christy
Christy officially joined Virginia Creative Group in 2019 and is on our Relationship Marketing Team, but has been helping behind the scenes since 2012. When she isn’t hard at work with the relationship marketing team, you can find her spending time with her friends and family. She especially loves spending time with her two children that keep her very busy!
Meet Robin
Robin joined Virginia Creative group in 2019 and is a part of our Relationship Marketing Team. Robin’s speciality is creating completely customized gifts and baskets uniquely designed and made with love. She was born and raised in Hampton Roads, Virginia and has three daughters and a brand new grandbaby! In her spare time, Robin enjoys traveling down to OBX. You can find her there on the beach with a good book and a drink in hand.
Meet Shelby
Shelby is a part of the Brand Marketing Team and joined VCG in 2018. She is an Oklahoma native turned Virginia lover. She studied at VCU and came back to Yorktown to spend time with her family and pups. Shelby is interested in sculpture and design and is passionate about rock and roll. When not at work, Shelby spends her time cuddling and playing ball with her dog, Bowie. She is always up for eating good food.
Meet Caroline
Caroline joined Virginia Creative Group in 2018 and is a part of both our Social Media Marketing Team and our Brand Marketing Team. She graduated from Liberty University with a BS in business leadership and a minor in psychology. After many years of volunteer work for a nonprofit, she is excited to work in a different realm that still allows her to positively impact others’ lives. In her spare time, she enjoys being out on the water, fossil hunting, art, reading and spending time with her miniature dachshund, River.
Meet Michael
Michael joined Virginia Creative Group in 2018 and is a part of the Brand Marketing Team and the Content Marketing Team. He earned his Associate Degree in Advertising and Graphic Design from Stanly Community College in Albemarle, NC, before transferring to the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), where he double-majored in English and creative writing and completed his BFA Certificate in Publishing. Born in the rural Southeastern backdrop of North Carolina, Michael is a country boy at heart.
In his spare time, he writes stories about his adventures in the South, reads and collects books, practices a healthy lifestyle and enjoys long walks around a quaint coastal city that he calls home, Wilmington.
Meet Samantha
Samantha joined Virginia Creative Group in 2022 and is a part of the Social Media Marketing Team. She was born and raised in Omaha, NE and now lives in Yorktown, VA with her fiancé. Samantha studied at the University of Nebraska at Omaha where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She enjoys going to the lake, crafting, shopping, and spending time with close friends and family.
Meet Caitlin
Caitlin joined Virginia Creative Group in 2017 and is a part of our Brand Marketing Team. Caitlin is from Yorktown, Virginia, and has lived in the area her whole life. She graduated from VCU Arts in Richmond with a major in graphic design and a minor in marketing. She loves all things artsy and creative. She’ll doodle on anything she can get her hands on and loves to collect mermaid art! Caitlin’s favorite things include cats, cheese fries, and sunny days outside on the beach and camping in the mountains.
Meet Sarah
Sarah joined Virginia Creative Group in 2022 and is our Photo & Video Specialist on the Content Marketing Team. Sarah graduated from Christopher Newport University in 2021 and currently resides in Yorktown, VA. She loves trying new coffee shops, binging Netflix shows and to be outdoors whether that is going to the beach in the summer or going hiking in the fall.
Meet Joy
Joy joins our team as our Meta Advertising Specialist. While she loves everything about Virginia, military life has taken her and her family out to the Pacific Northwest. She currently resides in Washington state where her husband is serving in the United States Coast Guard. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband and son while exploring all the natural wonders that Washington has to offer.
Meet Lisa
Lisa joined Virginia Creative Group in 2023 and is on the Social Media Marketing Team. Lisa graduated from Randolph-Macon College in 1996 with a degree in Educational Psychology and received her Master of Science in Education from Old Dominion University in 1999. She lives with her husband, David, and their three (almost!) grown children.
In addition to supporting her children’s interests, Lisa enjoys reading, spending time in Northern Outer Banks, and decorating. After many years working in various educational roles, she is happy to nurture her creative side by writing content for pediatric medical practices.
Meet Taryn
Taryn joined the VCG team in 2023 and is a member of our Digital Marketing Team. She was born and raised in Columbus, OH but has lived in Pittsburgh, PA since she graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019. She has a degree in English Writing with a minor in theater arts. She volunteers to spend most of her free time with a nonprofit called Young Life, but in the time she doesn’t, you can find her reading, painting, going to a concert, or spending time with friends and family.
Meet Lisa H.
Lisa joined the VCG team in 2023, contributing her creative talent to the Social Media Marketing Team. Alongside her husband of 20+ years, and their three children, they’ve made their home in a charming coastal community nestled by the Chesapeake Bay. Together, with their cherished furry companions, they delight in boating adventures and family gatherings. Lisa’s heart is drawn to the charm of small towns and the joys found in life’s simplest pleasures.
Meet Anna E.
Anna joined the VCG team in 2024 and is one of our graphic designers on the Brand Marketing Team. She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2023 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising & Digital Design along with a Minor in Art History. She loves bringing in her traditional art expertise into the digital landscape. Anna currently resides in Richmond, Virginia and when she’s not working you can find her reading comic books or hanging out with her friends!

Meet Adrianna
Adrianna joined Virginia Creative Group in August of 2025 as part of the Content Marketing Team. She graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a B.S. in Psychology and lives in North Chesterfield, Virginia with her fiancé and cat, Freya. An avid equestrian, she can usually be found at the barn riding or volunteering. Adrianna also has a love for French wine and language, never missing an opportunity to explore a vineyard or brush up on her French. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing fantasy/romance stories and spending time with friends and family.
Meet Hope
Meet Cameron
Cameron joined the VCG team in July 2025 and is a member of both the Digital Marketing and Content Marketing teams. He was born and raised in Yorktown, VA, where he still lives today with his fiancee, Kacey. Cameron earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, spending time with family and friends and getting out on the water whenever he can.
