If you want to skyrocket your practice’s visibility, online marketing is essential. The fact is, if your goal is to find and bring in new patients, a blog has potential like you can’t imagine. We recommend blogging for all of our clients because:
It’s great for SEO (making your website show up in the Google search results when people search for practices like yours)- It provides relevant, helpful content
- It builds trust and gives insight to prospective patients
- It increases the number of inbound links (also great for SEO)
- It is always working for you—24 hours a day!
Here are our two top tips for medical-practice blogging:
- A blog post isn’t an advertisement. Instead, it should provide useful, patient-centered content! What do your patients care about? What do they want to know? How can you help them? The topics that come to mind would most likely make excellent blog posts for your medical practice.
- Consistency is critical. While your intentions may be good, the real benefits to blogging are only uncovered with regular, frequent blogging. Posting a blog post once in a while is better than posting none, but if you want to see an increase in traffic and new patients, post something new at least once a month. If you have posts sitting in your inbox waiting to be approved, do your practice a favor and release them! They can only inform and attract patients if the content is out there.
