Who: We are looking for a GREAT Graphic Designer/ Illustrator who will be the next long-term member of our AWESOME team (NO FREELANCERS PLEASE)

What: We need a GREAT Graphic Designer/ Illustrator who can bring their own unique style and innovation to the table. (NO FREELANCERS PLEASE)

Where: We are based out of Newport News/ Yorktown, Virginia but if you have the ability to work independently in a remote setting, we offer flexible work arrangements. (NO FREELANCERS PLEASE)

All VCG staff work in cross-functional teams to meet deliverables for clients. Key Responsibilities:

• Create eye-catching and innovative designs for various digital and print media, including branding, marketing collateral, websites, social media and more.
• Conceptualize and develop design concepts, layouts and visual content.
• Stay up-to-date with design trends and industry best practices.
• Ensure projects are completed on time.
• Set up, label and export files properly.
• Be able to spell and catch spelling and grammar errors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) & Canva
• Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality designs.
• Knowledge of digital and print design best practices.
